Salem: <Please turn up volume to hear Salem’s purr. It’s still loud but the sound effect is better at high volume. I’m also having to move around because she’s laying on the floor. The music in the background is from a café channel on Youtube that I play for the ladies when I’m out of the house>

Both: Jdkahehreiu! Fjdsaioueowiajslajf! Dfioaseoiwrudn! Fgxhfgs! dalkfaduterikdshds! <Thank u sooooo much for readin’ our Humanz post/article/whatevz youz wanna call it! We knowz it took her Fuuuurrrreeeevvvuuuuurrrrr to write and postzs it (looks judgmentally at Human whom they have somehow manipulated into a corner) but she did it…and then she Finally went to bed, which meant that WE could finallyz go to bedz az wellz!> Tjifuaiuyeiharjkdf! Fldkajtoeiurewm;bnzd! Adriueorewoatewajkfsh! <She appreciates the responses and the likes so far, and will be working diligently (because we’re cute and she doesn’t want to disappoint us) on new stuffz plus a voice recording for her Culturalz Antropologiez post! We’re very good at keeping her accountable…usually…sometimes…>

Human: Heeeeyyyy, “best” accountability partners evurrrr, can I come out of the corner, pretty please? Also, do you have to mention the late bed time?

Both: *Looks at Human with heads cocked to side, eyebrows raised* No, you can’t leavez the corner bcuz we saw you paw quotez “best”! And no, no we didn’t have to mention…but we didz anywayz!

Human: *Sighs* Fiiiiine *turns back to corner* *Mutters something under breath about treats*

Nalia: *Ears perk up* What’d she say?

Salem: Nothing! She said nothing!

Nalia: I could’ve swornd she said treats!

Salem: *Makes grumble noise* Don’t fall for it, Sister! Don’t fall for it!

Human: *Still facing corner* You let Mama out of corner, I’ll give you treats for being such good kitty cats! *Slowly starts baby talk* Who’s a good kitty? You both good kitties!

Nalia: *Starts moving around excitedly* Hear that Sissterrr? We got her in a corner, but she says we’re still good kitties! I was so worried that she’d be upset that we putz her inz ze cornerz and hijacked borrowed her Subzstack!

Human: *Continues in baby talk* You so cute! And adorable! I’m the luckiest human alive to be able to take care of y’all!

Salem: *Comes close enough to touch tail to leg but deliberately witholds* Damn straight you are! And don’t you forgetz it!

Human: Soooo I can come out of the corner now, Salem, Queen of the Shadow Kitty Ninjas and the bestest House Panther?

Salem: *Feels resolve waver* Fine…yes…okay! You can comez out of the corner now…but ya gotzta showz usz the treatz!

Both: *Runs to kitchen*

Human: *Hands out the promised treats, with a little somethin’ somethin’ extra…possibly a catnip flavored treat…*

Human: Thank y’all so much for reading this post and I hope y’all enjoyed hearing one of many recordings of Salem’s loud purr! I have at least two of Nalia’s but even with the volume turned up, her purr is still pretty hard to hear.

Nalia: But mama… *Looks at Human with eyes wide*

Human: It’s okay, baby, you’re still my fierce mini-lioness <3

Nalia: *Rubs up on Human’s leg* Thanks mama!

Salem: *Narrows eyes* Wanna go back…into the corner…Human? *Cocks head and one eyebrow*

Human: *Clears throat* Spelling’s purrfectly fine, Queen :D

Cat Queen-How Salem sees herself

Salem: Good. Datz what I thought.

Nalia: You too really need to be nice to each other! You know I can’t stand discourse!

Human: …As you wish, Princess House-Sized Lioness.

Salem: *Grumbles* Fiiiiine

Nalia: We’ll be back to a regularly posting schedule soon! Carpe Diem and Huzzah!

Salem: Dats not how you spellz it!

Nalia: Hush! Or…or…or Ima put you in the corner!

Both: *Gets on hind legs*

Salem: I’d like to see you try!

Human: Ladies! No one’s going into the corner…especially me-I ain’t goin’ back there. Both of your spellings are correct…I may go back and fix some things, but Salem, I’ll leave your Hzh spelling alone. Deal?

Salem: *Cocks head, raises an eyebrow, brings head back to normal cat head position, lowers self, and proceeds to rub up on Human’s leg* Okay, mama, it’s a deal!

Human: I love you both very much <3

Nalia and Salem: We lovez you tuz, Humanz…and Fellow Muzerz that we’ll probably never meet face to face but who knowz!

Salem: You’ll only see a black streak bcuz Iz not too much of a social kitty. But sister…sister will happily be social! It’s how we came to live with Human actually…because Sister had to go and adopt her…

Nalia: Youz lovez living with herz and youz knowz it!

Salem: I guuueeessss *Starts purring as she gets more pets*
