Hi Kimber, I’m impressed with these questions, and your curious cat. I wonder if you have read Yuva Noah Harari‘ s Sapiens ? Maybe it’s off your topic. I saw him speak about his new book Nexus on a talk show. I was just fascinated to listen to him. Good luck as you reach out. There are so many kind and brilliant writers and readers on Substack, but I wish I had more time to read more.
I haven't read Harari's Sapiens, but I did hear him talk about it some on Dax Shephard's Armchair Expert podcast, on one of the Expert on Expert episodes. I actually think I listened to the episode two or three times, haha! He is very fun to listen to speak! I would love to read the book someday, as well as Nexus. I'm glad to meet someone who also knows of his work😄
I, too, wish I had more time to read, lol. We need to rethink this 24-hour time cycle! Thank you again for your comment and happy reading!
Hi Kimber--my first social media site was Facebook. I only joined Twitter (long ago when I published my first novel) and primarily to promote the book with their Writers Lifts, which bypasses all the madness of the daily headlines etc. Eventually branched into IG. And now of course, Substack, as I suppose it's considered social media, but such a kinder gentler more humane and FAR OUT version! I think it's what social media SHOULD be.
Hi Jeanine, thank you for your response! I have a few more follow-up questions, but I will DM them to you😄I do agree with you, though, on Substack being a better example of what social media should be💞
PS know you are super duper busy but if you have a chance to read Maya Warrior Queens of the Yucatán, part 1, know you’d love the archeology of it. Part 2 comes out Friday. Yes, they existed!!
I remember reading about the Maya Warrior Queens from the book that you mentioned in a previous post💞I have it on my bookshelf with my other school books that I've kept, lol. I will definetly read both of your articles💞

Harari is incredible. So glad he seems to be making the media circuits lately b.c he has so much to say!
That is exciting! I need to listen to more of his interviews😄
One recent was on Impact-something. The interviewer was exquisite.
